The first steps to achieving your lifetime goals in plain english

the distinction between intentions and expectations.
Intentions are key to having a meaningful experience, expectations are the short path to disappointment and suffering. Intentions arise out of our inner desire. You couple intentions with actions to create experiences you most desire in your life. It is an integral part of the law of attraction in action. Intentions are made with an open heart and spirit. You leave the door open for what you want to occur or something better. You are not attached to exact outcome or things looking a certain way. On the other hand, expectations are born out of our mind. You get an exact picture of what you want and it comes tinged with a bit of neediness and entitlement. You do not leave the door open for something different or better to occur because you want THIS and only THIS and you want it when you want it. You are fully attached to the outcome and of course if it doesn’t happen exactly as you wish, you are frustrated, disappointed, and you suffer.
Your Lifetime Goals
The first step in setting personal goals is to consider what you want to achieve in your lifetime (or by a time at least, say, 10 years in the future) as setting Lifetime Goals gives you the overall perspective that shapes all other aspects of your decision making.
To give a broad, balanced coverage of all important areas in your life, try to set goals in some of these categories (or in categories of your own, where these are important to you):
• Artistic:
Do you want to achieve any artistic goals? If so, what?
• Attitude:
Is any part of your mindset holding you back? Is there any part of the way that you behave that upsets you? If so, set a goal to improve your behavior or find a solution to the problem.
• Career:
What level do you want to reach in your career?
• Education:
Is there any knowledge you want to acquire in particular? What information and skills will you need to achieve other goals?
• Family:
Do you want to be a parent? If so, how are you going to be a good parent? How do you want to be seen by a partner or by members of your extended family?
• Financial:
How much do you want to earn by what stage?
• Physical:
Are there any athletic goals you want to achieve, or do you want good health deep into old age? What steps are you going to take to achieve this?
• Pleasure:
How do you want to enjoy yourself? - you should ensure that some of your life is for you!
• Public Service:
Do you want to make the world a better place? If so, how?
Spend some time brainstorming these, and then select one goal in each category that best reflects what you want to do. Then consider trimming again so that you have a small number of really significant goals on which you can focus.
As you do this, make sure that the goals that you have set are ones that you genuinely want to achieve, not ones that your parents, family, or employers might want (if you have a partner, you probably want to consider what he or she wants, however make sure you also remain true to yourself!)

Be all you can be. We often see ourselves as somewhat contented with our life the way things are, but of course it is hard to think of anything else when where real issues to be discussed are. Still we aspire for something deeper and more meaningful.
So we are all bombarded with problems. Honestly it shouldn’t even bother or even hinder us to becoming all we ought to be or to reach our life goals and life long aspirations . Aspirations as children should continue to live within us, even though it would be short-lived or as long as we could hold on to the dream. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks or can they?
1.What do I really want?
The question of the ages. So many things you want to do with your life and so little time to even go about during the day.
Find something that you are good at can help realize that small step towards improvement. Diligence is the key to know that it is worth it.
2.Should I really change?
Today’s generation has taken another level of redefining ’self’, or at least that’s what the kids are saying. Having an army of teenage nieces and nephews has taught me that there are far worse things that they could have had than acne or maybe even promiscuity. So how does that fit into your lifestyle?
If history has taught us one thing, it’s the life that we have gone through. Try to see if partying Seventies style wouldn’t appeal to the younger generation, but dancing is part of partying. Watch them applaud after showing them how to really dance than break their bones in break-dancing.
3.What’s the bright side in all of this?
With so much is happening around us there seem to be no room for even considering that light at the end of the tunnel. We can still see it as something positive without undergoing so much scrutiny. And if it’s a train at the end of the tunnel, take it for a ride and see what makes the world go round!
4.Am I comfortable with what I’m doing?
There’s always the easy way and the right way when it comes to deciding what goes with which shoes, or purse, shirt and whatnot. It doesn’t take a genius to see yourself as someone unique, or else we’ll all be equally the same in everything we do. Variety brings in very interesting and exciting questions to be experimented.
5.Have I done enough for myself?
Have you, or is there something more you want to do? Discontentment in every aspect can be dangerous in large doses, but in small amounts you’ll be able to see and do stuff you could never imagine doing.
6.Am I happy at where I am today?
It’s an unfair question so let it be an answer! You love being a good and loving mom or dad to your kids, then take it up a notch! Your kids will love you forever. The same goes with everyday life!
7. Am I appealing to the opposite sex?
So maybe I don’t have an answer to that, but that doesn’t mean I can’t try it, though. Whether you shape-up, change the way you wear your clothes or hair, or even your attitude towards people, you should always remember it will always be for your own benefit.
8.How much could I have?
I suppose in this case there is no such things on having things too much or too little, but it’s more on how badly you really need it. I’d like to have lots of money, no denying that, but the question is that how much are you willing to work for it?
9.What motivates me?
What motivates you? It’s an answer you have to find out for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but to choose one of the may be the hardest part. It’s not like you can’t have one serving of your favorite food in a buffet and that’s it. Just try it piece by piece.
10.What Really Makes You Tick?
So? What really makes you tick? You can be just about anything you always wanted to be, but to realize that attaining something that may seem very difficult is already giving up before you even start that journey. Always remember, that self-improvement is not just about the physical or philosophical change you have to undergo, but it’s something that you really want.

If you lack self esteem and are low in self confidence then you most probably spend too much time wishing you had the confidence to act and behave in the way people with high self esteem do.
If you desire to be happier and get more from life, increasing your self confidence and self esteem is the key .
1. Explore and exploite Your Good Qualities.
If you like something about yourself, give that area more priority over the others. For example; I love my eyes, so when I look in the mirror, I look directly into my eyes first, then I do a wander over of the rest of my body before returning to my eyes. If you like your nose, then do the same. Try making a mental list of the things you like about yourself, no matter how small or insignificant they may be. Then focus on these things, the rest is just insignificant. If you can learn to like yourself for your strong points, then others will find it much easier to do so as well.
2. Learn to Accept Compliment.
It is very hard to accept a compliment from people and not to dismiss it as being kindness. Someone has an opinion and it should be respected, even if you do not argree with it or beleive it ,. If people think good about you then maybe you should too.
When you have a perception of yourself or a view , or even a long term belief , for example you think you dont look good, and someone tells you different, how often do you change your point of view or perception in yourself ? My guess is , almost never. If you feel like you have done something well, and someone agrees with you by complimenting you on it, then your feelings were justified. However, if you think you have not done as well as you would like to have done , and someone compliments you on it, you will just pass it off as someone trying to be nice. When people believe something they look for examples that validate their beliefs as true. If you get something that invalidates your beliefs, then you just dimiss it off. Compliments will do no good until you are confident enough or believe in yourself enough to believe them.
4. Value Your Decisions.
It is true to say that People respect those who respect themselves,so never give other people a reason to laugh at you by starting the laughter. If you make fun of yourself, other people will validate it. If you think you’re ugly, other people will think you’re ugly.
5. Never Put Yourself Down.
If you promote negative aspects in your life you are only reinforcing your low self esteem. If you want to improve your self esteem. Ask yourself sincerely and honestly, how can I improve my self esteem. The answer will always be, find one positive thing about yourself and that will do it.
The more you practice the more likely you will create a positive aura which is commonly known as charisma. Creating a positive aura will benefit you in every thing you do. You will create a warmer ambience with your family. You will be more successful in your career. You will notice a difference on how people perceive you.

PERSONAL GROWTH CAN SIMPLY DEFINED AS THE PROCESS OF GROWING.........................
Personal growth is the process of learning new things ,accepting new things , expanding our horizon and generally improving ourselves , the list of descriptions can go on and on but i'm sure you get the picture , this process can also be described as self growth or personal development.
All of these terms are process. None are destinations. Self-actualization on the other hand is a destination. It is a state of being. If we grow or develop in our daily lives, we can become self-actualized.
Dr. Abraham Maslow first coined the term "self actualization. This is what he had to say on the subject:
"A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be. This is the need we may call self-actualization ... It refers to man's desire for fulfillment, namely to the tendency for him to become actually in what he is potentially: to become everything that one is capable of becoming ..."
But self-actualization is also a process. Nobody arrives at a point where they can simply say, "Now I am self-actualized. I don't need to grow anymore." Simply put, personal growth is a fundamental element of self-actualization , but clearly a very important one.
To achieve self actualization you must feel at ease with your personal growth path , you must be happy with yourself and what you do and not find achievement a strain, if you do you will have grown personally and reached some of your life goals but you will not have self actualized, simply because the sense of comfort in achievement eludes you.
Personal growth is very important, but you want to achieve the ultimate heights and happiness which is self actualization .

POSITIVE THOUGHTS AND YOU
THE LAW OF ATTRACTION AND PERSONAL POVERTY
If you’re thinking, “why am I stuck in this poverty stricken state of affairs over and over every day”, then the universal law of attraction will definitely pick up on your thought pattern. The energy you attract will just bring you more poverty.
However, with just a slight change in your thinking — and your talking — you could be attracting the abundance that you really want.
You just need to know how to use the universal law of attraction, and just as importantly, (and this is what many people forget)how to think so the law of attraction will bring what you want into your life.
If you want abundance in your life, create an affirmation. Something like;
“I intend to attract abundance in every way into my life.” This sure beats your old affirmation of;
“Why am I living in poverty every day.”
Then,start thinking abundance. Engage your imagination to try to see things another way, imagine you are living in the life you desire. Engage your imaginary senses to touch, taste, smell and feel the life you want. You’ll soon find yourself doing little things and noticing things that will help you to create abundance. Thanks to the law of attraction, you’ll be meeting people who will be able to help you create the life you desire.
Just give the universal laws of attraction a chance to work. Try to put aside all that negativity and start saturating yourself with positive thoughts and hopes.
For example you might [un]consciously be thinking “I’m no good with money” - is that true? How do you feel saying something like;
“Money comes to me easily” or “I am an excellent manager of my finances”? Is there some sort of dissonance when you say that to yourself?…. It just means there’s some work to be done on your attitude to money.
Jim Rohn says that “affirmation without discipline is the beginning of delusion”, so, if you’re going to start a new thought - make sure you follow through on your affirmation. Taking the money example - maybe you could take notes of how you spend your money and compare that to your pre-set budget, or reward yourself for saving 2% of your income- small steps that lead to big rewards-EVENTUALLY!
Then you’ll see things working for you!
Patience is the keyword you need to remember when you’re working with the law of attraction. Just because you send out all these wonderful thoughts on attracting more money into your life or a better job, a happier marriage, even a less grumpy spouse, it doesn’t mean you’ll get all this overnight.
The law of attraction does not use FedEx, or UPS, to deliver your thoughts. There’s no overnight delivery guarantee. You are guaranteed, though, that if you really are re-aligning your thoughts and actions to produce your desires that the law of attraction will
react to this. It may take longer than a day, a week or even a month, depending on what you desire.
The key to understanding and getting the most mileage out of the law of attraction is a single word:
Faith
Have faith that the universe delivers in its own time. Okay, so it may be a little slow like the US post office but it will deliver.

Boost self-esteem tip #1: Think back to when you did something new for the first time.
Learning something new is often accompanied by feelings of nervousness, lack of self-belief and high stress levels, all of which are necessary parts of the learning process. The next time you feel under-confident, remembering this will remind you that it's perfectly normal - you're just learning!
Boost self-esteem tip #2: Do something you have been putting off.
Like writing or calling a friend, cleaning the house, tidying the garden, fixing the car, organizing the bills, making a tasty and healthy meal - anything that involved you making a decision, then following through!

I know this sounds strange, but low self-esteem is often accompanied by too much focus on the self. Doing something that absorbs you and holds your attention can quickly make you feel better.
Boost self-esteem tip #5: Get seriously relaxed.
If you are feeling low, anxious or lacking in confidence, the first thing to do is to stop thinking and relax properly. Some people do this by exercising, others by involving themselves in something that occupies their mind. However, being able to relax yourself when you want is a fantastic life skill and so practicing self-hypnosis,meditation or a physically based relaxation technique such as Tai Chi can be incredibly useful.
When you are properly relaxed, your brain is less emotional and your memory for good events works better. A great 'rescue remedy'!
Boost self-esteem tip #6: Remember all the things you have achieved.
This can be difficult at first, but after a while, you'll develop a handy mental list of self-esteem boosting memories. And if you're thinking "But I've never achieved anything", I'm not talking about climbing Everest here.
Things like passing your driving test (despite being nervous), passing exams (despite doubting that you would), playing team sport, getting fit (even if you let it slip later), saving money for something, trying to help someone (even if it didn't work) and so on.

Choice. It's all about freedom--the freedom to pick one thing over another. Are you choosing what you want from life?
"Oh no," comes the reply. "I can't because… I haven't got enough education. …I need to look after my family. …I don't have enough money. …I don't have the time." What's your excuse? The truth is that we have choice in every single moment of our lives. For those who are destitute, the choices in life are fewer. But the rest of us often think we don't have freedom when we simply haven't claimed our power to choose differently.
How do you typically make decisions? Do you do so based on:
"shoulds" – doing what you believe you should do.
pleasing others – doing what others want or expect you to do.
fear – choosing the safe route for fear of doing something different.
habit and reaction – you don't even think about what you're doing--you've always done it this way?
On the other hand, you own your power to choose when you decide on the basis of:
desire – choosing something you want.
need – responding to deeper desires.
authenticity – you know who you are and what you stand for.
creative expression – you strive to be more.
So what life choice will you make?
So how can you open to choosing differently?
Be clear about what you want. Have a sense of purpose. With a target to aim for, you'll know what will serve you best.
STOP and ASK yourself questions. "Why am I doing this? What do I want to achieve?" WRITE down your answers. Be more conscious of how you are spending your precious time, because this is your life passing by. This will help you say, "Wait! I don't want to do this anymore!"
Never allow yourself to play the victim. Victims have given away their power. You alone are responsible for your life. When you fully accept this, you will claim your inner power to make better choices. Change often comes from nothing more than a shift in perspective.
Be open to possibilities for yourself. Select one area of your life where you are unsatisfied, and choose something new, something more for yourself. Do different things and do things differently. Risk more..
Empowerment arises from the three Cs: choice, courage and change. They are yours to claim. You'll be astounded at how easy it will be to take charge once you've made up your mind to do so. You have the opportunity to create a future that's very different from your past. And remember: not choosing is also a choice.

Examples? How about swimming, running, dancing, cooking, gardening, climbing, painting, writing... The truth is that we have choice in every single moment of our lives. For those who are destitute, the choices in life are fewer. But the rest of us often think we don't have freedom when we simply haven't claimed our power to choose differently.
How do you typically make decisions? Do you do so based on:
"shoulds" – doing what you believe you should do.
pleasing others – doing what others want or expect you to do.
fear – choosing the safe route for fear of doing something different.
habit and reaction – you don't even think about what you're doing--you've always done it this way?
On the other hand, you own your power to choose when you decide on the basis of:
desire – choosing something you want.
need – responding to deeper desires.
authenticity – you know who you are and what you stand for.
creative expression – you strive to be more.
So what life choice will you make?
So how can you open to choosing differently?
Be clear about what you want. Have a sense of purpose. With a target to aim for, you'll know what will serve you best.
STOP and ASK yourself questions. "Why am I doing this? What do I want to achieve?" WRITE down your answers. Be more conscious of how you are spending your precious time, because this is your life passing by. This will help you say, "Wait! I don't want to do this anymore!"
Never allow yourself to play the victim. Victims have given away their power. You alone are responsible for your life. When you fully accept this, you will claim your inner power to make better choices. Change often comes from nothing more than a shift in perspective.
Be open to possibilities for yourself. Select one area of your life where you are unsatisfied, and choose something new, something more for yourself. Do different things and do things differently. Risk more..

When you are only thinking about what you want to happen in the future your brain will create explanations as to why this hasn’t happened and isn’t happening.
In this situation it’s easy to replay past failures, previous bad luck and even to start wondering if your perceived personal deficiencies are an influencing factor. You may become jealous of your competitors, you may even start making excuses and then you’re on a downward spiral and you could lose self confidence. This might impact upon not only your current project but future endeavours.
At times such as this you need to smash the destructive thought pattern by setting aside a little time to reflect upon your achievements and nurture your attitude of gratitude. Make a list of your previous triumphs, your proven strengths and think about the advantages that you already enjoy in comparison with others less fortunate. This will rapidly boost your confidence and put you in the correct frame of mind to achieve your goals.

These emotions are necessary as your visualization will not work without them. It also takes care of the negativity you may otherwise experience throughout your normal day. The more you practise your visualization in this manner the more positive you will feel during your normal day and therefore the less negative thoughts and emotions you will be focused on.
The second reason for failure, when trying to consciously use the law of attraction and visualization is the lack of action. We live in a world that is regulated and created by thought but it is also in a state of motion. You need to take some action that will get you closer to your goal. No matter how small the action is it will add power to the forces of the law of attraction. I cannot stress this enough! We may be capable of achieving things through thought alone but we, as a species and individuals, are not yet spiritually/emotionally evolved enough to create our desires through thought alone - we are carrying around too much negative thoughts and feelings. So take some action!
For many people, myself included, it is hard to create a mental image that is clear and detailed. There are a few times when I also find it hard to evoke the emotions that are necessary to activate the law of attraction. I have found that hypnosis is invaluable on such occasions. When I am hypnotized and deeply relaxed I find it much easier to create mental images and mental movies. I also find that it is easier to get in touch with my emotions and thus evoke the necessary feelings I need to activate the law of attraction.

Since the movie, The Secret, has reached a wide audience, many more people are looking to use the law of attraction. It is a simple process, but it is not necessarily easy.
Fasten your seat belts, because the following information is powerful. It might be too much to digest immediately. If so, let it germinate within you for awhile. You’ll find that you will open up to your new possibility in your own, correct time.
Hidden Law of Attraction #1: We All Have Things We Are Naturally Attracted To. In Targeting These Things, The Law of Attraction is Easiest. – Each individual person is wired, if you will, for a specific purpose. We have a myriad of talents for achieving that purpose and we have an infinite amount of energy for such pursuits. Our dreams may seem impossible now, when we’re trying to fit five hundred things into each hour of the day, but it is entirely true. When we begin to hone in on our purpose, we combine our talents in new ways to make progress faster than we ever would have before.
Many people, when they begin to use the law of attraction, do so haphazardly, wishing and hoping for random things, whatever strikes their fancy at any given moment. This is ill-advised and can cause a great deal of frustration. But if we have this tool, Hidden Law of Attraction #1, we can get on the fast track quickly. The secret is to use our natural drive and interest. If I’m a gifted writer, speaker, and visionary, and the idea of expressing those gifts gets me truly excited every moment of the day, then I already have the greatest force behind me, helping me to attract all that I need in order to succeed. I even have hidden talents that I’ll discover along the way that will help me.
Hidden Law of Attraction #2: Take Action on a Consistent Basis – This is not going to be a lecture upon the importance of taking action. Instead, I’ll point out two things, 1) schedule time into your day, every day, to express what you love to do and 2) at first, taking these actions may be really rocky.
The first point is simple. Schedule sometime everyday to express what you love doing. Do this everyday. And remember, it should be enjoyable. This shouldn’t be a task that you’re dreading. If you love to draw, then draw, without worrying about if anyone is going to like your drawing or not. This time is not going to be used at first to produce something that is going to be sold. It is to start exercising your gifts.
The second point is vital to moving forward. Often when we begin to use our gifts in a committed manner, the road is rough. When I began this process myself, I needed to get up at 5 am and write for two hours before my family got up. That way, I had guaranteed, uninterrupted time to express my passion every day. But I went through a transition period. First of all, my life had to change in order for me to fit in two extra power-packed hours of creative work. I went through some really groggy days for several weeks while I adjusted and learned how to manage my day. Also, there may be some internal resistance to doing what we love and the only way to get through that sometimes is to just continue on until we find some freedom. There are many fun things to do in life, but few that are more rewarding than committing to living the life of your dreams.
Hidden Law of Attraction #3: (This one is my favorite.) Be Who You Are Longing To Be – Actually practice thinking of yourself as the person of your dreams. Part of my own gift is that I’m a visionary. I see things in a really unique way and put together new concepts and make them accessible to people. It’s a great gift, but who do I look to for an example? There are not many people who are highly visible visionaries. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a visionary. As was John F. Kennedy. But I chose to concentrate upon a woman named Peace Pilgrim, a simple person who walked across the county with no possessions except a comb and a toothbrush, to talk to people about peace. When I think of her, I get completely inspired by her authenticity and simple, powerful message. So when I learned this Hidden Law of Attraction #3, I began to picture myself speaking to thousands of people, relating to each person in the audience, reaching their hearts and helping to add momentum to the inner drives for brilliance within each one. It was a simple idea, but one that was incredibly powerful for me. Soon after that, I began my speaking career and it literally shot through the roof. I never had to advertise or search for places to speak. I always had people ask me to speak after that. The explosion in my public speaking was incredible. I was booked solid for over a year within three months of beginning to speak publicly.
These kinds of results are available when we really focus upon things that inspire us. And the effort that we have to expend to create such miraculous results is minimal—and enjoyable.

Motivation, the Heart of Self Improvement
Pain may sometimes be the reason why people change. Getting flunked grades make us realize that we need to study. Debts remind us of our inability to look for a source of income. Being humiliated gives us the ‘push’ to speak up and fight for ourselves to save our face from the next embarrassments. It may be a bitter experience, a friend’s tragic story, a great movie, or an inspiring book that will help us get up and get just the right amount of motivation we need in order to improve ourselves.
With the countless negativities the world brings about, how do we keep motivated? Try on the tips I prepared from A to Z…
A - Achieve your dreams. Avoid negative people, things and places. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
B - Believe in your self, and in what you can do.
C – Consider things on every angle and aspect. Motivation comes from determination. To be able to understand life, you should feel the sun from both sides.
D – Don’t give up and don’t give in. Thomas Edison failed once, twice, more than thrice before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb. Make motivation as your steering wheel.
E – Enjoy. Work as if you don’t need money. Dance as if nobody’s watching. Love as if you never cried. Learn as if you’ll live forever. Motivation takes place when people are happy.
F – Family and Friends – are life’s greatest ‘F’ treasures. Don’t loose sight of them.
G – Give more than what is enough. Where does motivation and self improvement take place at work? At home? At school? When you exert extra effort in doing things.
H – Hang on to your dreams. They may dangle in there for a moment, but these little stars will be your driving force.
I – Ignore those who try to destroy you. Don’t let other people to get the best of you. Stay out of toxic people – the kind of friends who hates to hear about your success.
J – Just be yourself. The key to success is to be yourself. And the key to failure is to try to please everyone.
K – keep trying no matter how hard life may seem. When a person is motivated, eventually he sees a harsh life finally clearing out, paving the way to self improvement.
L – Learn to love your self. Now isn’t that easy?
M – Make things happen. Motivation is when your dreams are put into work clothes.
N – Never lie, cheat or steal. Always play a fair game.
O – Open your eyes. People should learn the horse attitude and horse sense. They see things in 2 ways – how they want things to be, and how they should be.
P – Practice makes perfect. Practice is about motivation. It lets us learn repertoire and ways on how can we recover from our mistakes.
Q – Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, choose your fate – are you going to be a quitter? Or a winner?
R – Ready yourself. Motivation is also about preparation. We must hear the little voice within us telling us to get started before others will get on their feet and try to push us around. Remember, it wasn’t raining when Noah build the ark.
S – Stop procrastinating.
T – Take control of your life. Discipline or self control jives synonymously with motivation. Both are key factors in self improvement.
U – Understand others. If you know very well how to talk, you should also learn how to listen. Yearn to understand first, and to be understood the second.
V – Visualize it. Motivation without vision is like a boat on a dry land.
W – Want it more than anything. Dreaming means believing. And to believe is something that is rooted out from the roots of motivation and self improvement.
X – X Factor is what will make you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to put on “extras” on your life like extra time for family, extra help at work, extra care for friends, and so on.
Y – You are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence, because you’re just going to spend it once.
Z – Zero in on your dreams and go for it!!!

The movie called Patch Adams is the perfect example of a person who failed at the one thing he wanted to do most. After suffering from severe depression and hospitalization, his eyes were opened.

With a positive attitude he was able to help not only himself, but also the patients around him. Using these techniques also brought him the success he always wanted. He became an excellent doctor and changed the way the medical community treated its mentally ill patients.
In order to use self-improvement methods you have to sit down and take a good look at yourself. You need to understand, really understand that you are not a failure. Everyone has limitations, and being aware of that is strength, not a weakness.

What Has Luck Got To Do With Law Of Attraction?
How does one get “lucky”?
A friend shared with me the following acronym: L.U.C.K. - Labor Under Correct Knowledge.
We can only get “lucky” if we go about our task with the right knowledge.
What has “luck” got to do with the Law of Attraction and Law of Success then?
You may be accustomed to thinking about luck as some mysterious, fleeting quality that you either have or don’t have. But the Law of Attraction teaches us that we can consciously choose to become lucky.
How then?
While the dictionary defines luck as chance or good fortune, studying the Law of Attraction awakens us to the understanding that chance has little to do with it. It is our thoughts, emotions, beliefs and actions that determine the outcome of any situation, not some random quirk of fate.
Thus, it is much more about the type of person you are and the things you consistently do that determine how lucky you are.
Through the conscious use of the Law of Attraction, you can easily and quickly become the luckiest person on the planet! You just have to understand how to get some good energy flowing through your life by adopting the mind-set and demeanor of a lucky person. This involves learning how to alter your thoughts, emotions and actions in such a way that they attract opportunities, abundance and good fortune.
How can you do this? If you’ve ever observed the people that seem to be naturally lucky, you may have noticed a few interesting things about them.
Lucky people:
- Are optimists. They always expect the best outcome with whatever they do, and as a result, they very often get it! Optimists don’t spend time brooding over missed opportunities or a lack of options. Instead they focus on the positives and MAKE situations work for them. At the same time, they have learned the art of detachment. They let go of any need for a specific outcome and instead remain open to the many good things that life has to offer. This very mind-set is what attracts great opportunities into their lives, and also gives them the keen awareness to recognize such opportunities.
- Live in the moment. They don’t spend time obsessing over negative things that happened in the past, and they don’t harbor anxiety about the future. Instead, they simply grasp the joy and passion that life has to offer them right NOW, and let the future take care of itself. This also contributes to clearer thought processes, which enables them to be more aware of the potential that exists in each moment.
- Take action without hesitation. You will rarely see a lucky person hesitating, doubting, or holding back on something they really want to do. Instead, they leap ahead when they see something they want. They are not afraid of hard work, but they also seem to have an innate ability to make any endeavor fun and exciting. They don’t groan about how hard life is; they take control of the wheel and steer their lives where they want to go!
Promise yourself that you will consciously begin taking these actions on a regular basis. You will notice a gradually increasing flow of good fortune. You will attract not only better outcomes in every situation, you will call forth endless opportunities to keep improving all areas of your life.
Above all, stay positive, stay committed, stay abundant and as the Law of Attraction states, you will attract the good things in life.
